Hello, everybody. Mickey Griffith here with the Referral Institute in the North San Francisco Bay area, and we are still in the International Conference from Referral Institute Worldwide. Joining me right now is Tiffanie Kellog, and she is with Referral Institute in Tampa, Florida.
TK: Other side of the country.
MG: The other warm spot right now. Yeah?
TK: Yes.
MG: Yeah. So Tiffanie, what I’d love for your to share with the people that are watching is, what is your favorite referral marketing tip, or what you think is the most important for marketing?
TK: So it’s all about kissing.
MG: Kissing? Excellent!
TK: Or KISS. You want to make sure you “Keep It Short and Simple“.
MG: I like it.
TK: No stupid, no silly. You want to keep it short and simple.
MG: Short and simple.
TK: Referral-based marketing is all about other people talking on your behalf. And so they have to take your message and convey that to others. So it needs to be a short and simple message that’s easy to go from one person to the next, to the next. ‘Cause if it’s complicated, if it’s long and people forget it, they won’t try. They’ll just stop.
MG: They’ll just stop.
TK: And the message is done. And so you wanna KISS. Keep It Short and Simple. So you make sure your message can easily go from one person to the next, to the next, which the bottom line will increase because more people hear about you and what you do.
MG: Excellent. And I’m guessing that if they forget it, they don’t come back and tell you that they forgot it.
TK: No.
MG: They just stop talking about it.
TK: They just stop talking about you, and if people aren’t talking about you, there’s no buzz. If there’s no buzz, no referrals, and no referrals means no money.
MG: No money, right, and we don’t want that.
TK: No, we don’t.
MG: Awesome. Thank you very much, Tiffanie.
TK: Thank you, Mickey.
MG: I totally appreciate it, and thank you for watching. I’m Mickey Griffith with the Referral Institute in the North San Francisco bay area.
